Homeschool vs. Public School

In this world of economic slow-down, parents encounter hard time to satisfy the education of their children. Others thought seriously of sending them to public school which they know can reduce their expenses and still can be proud of their child’s education. But another option is homeschooling. So should you prefer to homeschool your children or rather send them to public school?

If you have been reading a lot about this issue, this will add to the information you already know. You must be well-informed that both of the above can be beneficial and important to your child's future. So what you must do now is to sit down and calculate every angle of your choice. Homeschooling vs. public school

If you send them to public school it will be;

· Cheaper than private school at least

· Child's exposure for development

· More materials and resources to train your child to be skilful

· Actual training and development of child's social life

· Can give you more time to do other chores at home

· Child can gain real experiences in life that will broaden his discernment on what is life in this world all about

· Learn self- discipline to abide with school requirements which will be a good training for him to achieve his goals

· Talents and skills will be discovered and might be a way to gain his potentials and achieve his dreams

· Your child can find friends and discover how to deal to deal with different individuals

Why don't you like to send them to public school?

· Peer pressure that might lead him to alcoholism, smoking, drugs and etc.

· He can be a victim of bullying

· Bad association that can spoil his useful habits

· Gives you added responsibility to pick or drop him to school

· Additional expenses for transportation, books, projects, miscellaneous and etc.

· Child's pressure for school assignments or projects

· Child's rest and sleep not satisfied

· He can be misinformed about sex education or absorb other wrong ideas from kids like him

· You will always feel insecure if he is not home yet

· In case of problem in school regarding your child, you must be there

In weighing the disadvantages of your child going to public school you decided that homeschooling is your best choice, why?

· Your child will be under your loving care you will have lots of chances to be with him and mould him the way you wanted

· More freedom for your child to choose time and subjects he prefers

· More time for your child to rest

· Safeguard your child from bad influences of the outside world

· Save thousands of money

· Less stress and worries in your part as parents

· You can spend lots of time and training your kids not only for head knowledge but moral values, emotional development and proper sex education information that a kid must have to learn the right way

· Though it's not good to be like a police, at least you can supervise your child and guide him where he needed to be directed

· And most of all you can develop a close friendship between you and your child. A precious relationship that both of you will cherish through the years

With the pros and cons of home school vs. public school, now you can make your decision if you will send your child to public school or rather teach them at home.

Or is there something missing I didn't mention, yes there must be for I can't put them all in one article. A reader might ask; how about transcript and diploma which plays an important part in the child's further education in college? Public school for sure can provide transcript for your child, but how about you? Can you make your own child's transcript? Because if you can, I'm sure you would rather homeschool your child than sending them to public schools.
