Depression Poems That Make You Cry: Winter Depression Symptoms

72

By hillymillydee

In this time of the year, here in Canada is winter time. many people feel so depressed and sad. Despite the beauty of the snowflakes that brings joy especially to kids, this season brings unwanted sorrow to those who are prone to be depressed. The absence of sunlight ignites sadness. The gloominess of the sky triggers depression. As we stay at home during freezing rain watch the icicles hanging around the corners, singers sing sad songs and poets write depression poems that make you cry. Welcome to Canada!

Why am I so sad?

Why am I so blue this time of year?

I feel so cold,... I feel so empty

with doubts and fear.

These gloomy days and cloudy skies

I couldn’t bear

I am afraid I feel the same year after year

I miss the day when it was warm

when the sun shines brightly

I miss those months when flowers bloom

and birds sing sweetly

I miss those nights when the moon was bright

touch my face so gently

But most of all I miss my life

when I feel so happy

If all seasons will be like this in the photo

the whole year through...

And I am sure that I will not

be sad and blue.

When trees are green, roses are red,

violets are blue

The sun will shine, and I'll

be fine the whole day through

But now I’m wondering what life is all about for me?

Day after day, I’m feeling down,

sad and so lonely

It’s hurting me, it hurts me more

than I could say

Wondering what tomorrow brings

what's left for me?

Don’t understand what going on

what could it be?

The sun is gone my moon disappeared

its killing me.....

That's the way it is if you live in a country where winter stays long. It is even worse in Alaska. They have 6 months twilight everyday. Expressing sad emotion through depression poems that make you cry such as the poem above is a help in easing out sadness that this gloom can brings. I feel that the depression symptoms that attempting to pop easily go away when I put my heart in writing.

Lovely Poem - Bitter/Sweet.

Winter does have a psychological affect on people's mood.

Never mind, it will soon be summer. :)
