Before you continue and search for more, you should know what topic you should research on how to get through depression. Why? Because there are many types, signs, symptoms and causes of depression and there are also different ways to handle it. If you are suffering from depression because of divorce, the solution of your problem may not be the same with the solution to a person who is depressed because of childhood history. Start first by knowing the problem or defining what kind of depression you are in second; finding the solution, third; how to reduce the symptoms. Thanks for writing this hub. I have suffered from depression and anxiety for many years. Many people do not understand this illness and how it can permeate your entire life, even to the point of being debilitating.

As a life long sufferer of depression, I can truly appreciate this hub. Many people are afraid to get help because of the stigma attached to mental illness. Some think you can snap out of it but it's not something you can shut on or off. It's a true illness.
